Reuse awning fabric scraps

Plain, with thin or thick stripes, regular or varied, yellow, blue, red or even orange, awning fabric is the colorful fabric often stretched over the terraces of bars, restaurants or apartments.

At Maison Gang, we use the scraps of this fabric with its incredible properties to make foolproof bucket hats.

Here are some of these multiple properties:

UV protection

Depending on its color, the awning fabric blocks between 90% and 100% of UV rays while reducing the greenhouse effect. Even when exposed to the sun, the colors retain their brightness over time.

Impermeable

Thanks to a treatment at the heart of the fabric, the awning canvas has water-repellent and stain-resistant properties. Designed for outdoor use, it is durably resistant to external aggressions.
